San Diego is a hot spot for international travel, but before you can get away on that tropical vacation or jet set around the world on business, you've got to have your passport. Often times people in the business world will need a passport on short notice, as unexpected trips come up on a whim. To obtain an emergency passport or a rush passport contact one of the local passport agencies below. If you're centrally located, you'll probably want to make contact with the County Administration Center on the West edge of downtown San Diego. While the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is not a Federal Passport Agency, they will have just as much information and offer the ability to speak with someone directly, face to face. They'll help you get a passport pushed out to the Federal Passport Agency in Los Angeles and back into your hands swiftly. The County Administration Center is located at 1600 Pacific Hwy and can be contacted directly at (858) 694-3900. While the address is on Pacific Hwy and will get you to the buliding, we recommend using N. Harbor Dr. to get to the building, as there is substantially more accessible street parking than on the Pacific Hwy.
